This morning proceed for a wonderful
excursion to Kufri and Chail. In Kufri enjoy a walk
through thick cedar woods to Mahasu Peak for an
amazing view the mighty Himalayas. Continue onwards

This morning you will
proceed on breathtaking drive to Kullu Valley on
the banks of the River Beas, to Manali. On arrival
into Manali, check into your hotel. The rest of

IN MANALI
Today's city tour takes
you to the four and half century old Hadimba Devi
Temple, the Tibetan Monastery, which houses several
images of Lord Buddha, Tankha paintings and a handicraft
center. The evening is free to stroll and shop at
the Mall Road, the life centre of every hill-station.

IN MANALI
- EXCURSION TO ROHTANG PASS / SNOW POINT
This morning proceed on
an excursion to the Rohtang Pass, 51 kms from Manali,
3978 meters high, which for centuries was the gateway
to the trading routes that led to Lahul and Spiti.
Then return to your hotel. The evening is at leisure.
If roads to Rohtang Pass are closed then visit Snow
Point (ponies/horses can be hired directly). (B)

Today you will proceed
to the well-planned city of Chandigarh for an overnight

to Nainital (60 Kms/ approx. 2 hour drive)
This morning visit the Corbett National
Park and take a jeep safari, which is the best way
to see the jungle and wildlife. In the afternoon
you will be driven to Nainital where you will stay
for three nights. Set around the 1.5 km long and
500m wide Naini Lake is the charming hill station
of Nainital. In the evening take a stroll down the
mall or take a boat ride across the lake (boat ride

This morning, enjoy an
excursion to the lakes, which includes Sat Tal,
the jade green Bhim Tal and Naukuchiya Tal. You

* Excursion to Rishikesh
Proceed on an excursion
to Rishikesh. Visit Ganga Ghat, Laxman Zula-hanging
bridge on the river Ganga, Aashrams. Return to Haridwar

on the ghat to witness Har-Ki-Pauri- aarti performed
on the bank of Ganges. This is a splendid view spectacle
as thousands of Diyas float on the river carrying
with them people's hopes and aspirations. (B)

a visit to the ancient capital of the Kachhawaha
Rajputs, Amer. Set amidst picturesque settings,
ascending the fort on a paved path, passing through
five magnificent gates. (Elephant ride or Jeep ride
upto the Fort on your own). En route enjoy a photo-stop
at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) an elaborate pink
sandstone facade. Later this afternoon, you will
visit the City Palace, a spectacular synthesis of
Rajput and Mughal architectural styles. You will
have some free time to stroll through the old flower

the lush green Aravalli plains to the rugged desert

* Visit Jungarh Fort * Optional excursion to Deshnoke
This morning, proceed
on a visit to the historical symbol of the city,
the magnificent Junagarh fort. Built of red sandstone,
the fort boasts of some of the finest sandstone
and marble carvings. Admire the skill of the craftsmen
as you visit palaces and the halls of audience.
Marvel Bikaner's art of miniature paintings as you
visit the Hall of Audience decorated with breathtaking
frescoes, gilded stucco mouldings and floral patterns.
The rest of the day is free to explore the city
on own or you drive to Deshnok to the famous Karni
Mata Temple, the only temple in India where religious
offerings are made to hordes of rats who roam freely

into the heart of the Thar Desert, to the citadel

havelis and exquisite Jain temples. Visit of Sand

from the desert city of Jaisalmer to the Marwar
