excursion to the "meadow of flowers",
Gulmarg. On arrival, admire the beauty of lush green
cup shaped meadow nestled amidst the snow-capped

introduced gondola lift through pine-clad slopes

excursion to Sonamarg (82 kms / approx 4 hour )
Today you embark on a
full day excursion to the picturesque "meadow
of gold", Sonamarg situated in the Sindh Valley,
at an altitude of 2743 mts, The fast flowing Sindh
River makes it popular for trout and mahseer fishing
in summer. Highly recommended is a pony ride to
one of the glaciers for some fun in snow and ice

This morning your journey
takes you to the "valley of shepherds"
Pahalgam is situated at the confluence of the streams
flowing from the River Lidder and Sheshnag Lake.
En route enjoy a brief visit to Awantipura ruins,
an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

* Visit Amber * Visit City Palace and Jantar Mantar
This morning, you will proceed on
a visit to the ancient capital of the Kachhawaha
Rajputs, Amber. Set amidst picturesque settings;
ascend the fort on a paved path, passing through
five magnificent gates. (Elephant or jeep rides
on your own). Visit the vast complex of beautiful
palaces, frescoed halls of private and public audience
and the royal gardens. En route enjoy a photo-stop
at Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) an elaborate pink
sandstone facade. Later you will visit the City
Palace, a spectacular synthesis of Rajput and Mughal
architectural styles. Visit the apartments housing
museums with an array of textiles, costumes, arms,
weapons and paintings. End the city tour with a
visit to the largest observatory built by Maharaja
Jai Singh II in the early 18th century. Then you
will have some free time to stroll through the old
flower and textile markets. (B)

Pushkar * Visit Ajmer (140 KMS / APPROX 2 1/2 HOUR
DRIVE)
Today you will proceed
on a drive to the famous pilgrimage village of Pushkar.
En route stop in the holy pilgrim city of Ajmer
and visit the Dargah of Khawaja Mu'inuddin Chisti.
On arrival in Pushkar, check into your hotel. The
rest of the day is free to explore the numerous
ancient temples in this little picturesque lakeside
village, the most famous and unique being the Brahma
Temple. Besides the Brahma Temple, Pushkar's claim
to fame is the world famous Pushkar Cattle and Camel
Fair celebrated during Kartik Purnima, which is
a kaleidoscope of colour and extravagant fanfare.

Jodhpur * Visit Meherangarh Fort (260 KMS / APPROX
6 HOUR DRIVE)
Today your journey continues
to the Marwar capital city of Jodhpur, sprawled
around the impressive cliff top Meherangarh Fort.
Later you will proceed to the imposing Meherangarh
Fort and visit various museums, housing the finest
artefacts of the Royal family of Jodhpur. The rest
of the evening is free to explore the 'blue town'
and old clock tower market on your own. (B)

Mount Abu (295 kms / approx. 8 hour)
Embark on a picturesque
drive through the lush Aravalli Hills to Mt. Abu-
the famous summer retreat of the Rajput Royals and
the British. En route enjoy a visit to the beautifully
preserved marble Jain Temples in Ranakpur. On arrival
in Mount Abu check into your hotel. The rest of
the afternoon is free to enjoy boating around the

Abu * Visit the Dilwara Temples
This morning, you will
visit the magnificent Dilwara Jain Temples built
in 1031, set amidst mango trees and wooded hills.
Explore the complex of five temples displaying some
of the most exquisite marble carvings and sculptures.
The oldest and most famous of the five temples is
the Adinath Temple. The rest of the afternoon is
free to visit the honeymoon and sunset points around
Nakki Lake. (B)

Udaipur (180 KMS / APPROX 4 HOUR DRIVE)
Today you will embark
on a picturesque drive through the lush green hills
of Aravalli to the celestial 'City of Sunrise',
Udaipur. On arrival in Udaipur, check into your
hotel. The rest of the evening is free to explore
this city of lakes or enjoy a boat ride around the
picturesque Lake Pichola past the spectacular City
Palace, Jag Mandir Island and the famous Jag Niwas
Island, which used to be the summer palace of the
Royals of Mewar and is now the renowned Lake Palace

In Udaipur
* Visit the City Palace and Saheliyon ki Badi
This morning, you will
visit the sprawling City Palace complex, along the
shores of the Lake Pichola. The impressive complex
consists of buildings in granite and marble flanked
by octagonal corner towers surmounted by cupolas,
with an exterior faced in white plaster. Visit the
exotic palaces and pleasure gardens. Continue to
the Saheliyon ki Badi (Garden of The Maids of Honour),
which served as an ornamental pleasure garden for
the Royal Ladies of Mewar. The rest of the afternoon
is free to visit the old city, walk through the
narrow winding lanes past colourful shops of textiles,
artefacts and silver jewellery. (B)
